Education and iGEM Stockholm

Learning is fascinating and  I want my students to feel capable to use their knowledge to address their own goals after completing my courses. I am happy to have the opportunity to be responsible for several courses at KTH l and am also lecturing adhoc in external settings.

A particular educational setting I find highly inspiring is iGEM. Since 2015 I have had the great honor of being founding PI and main supervisor for the joint iGEM Stockholm team. iGEM is an annual competition in synthetic biology originated at MIT in Boston open for students all around the world.

As part of this competition I have annually been hosting a multidiciplinary group of 15-20 students from KTH, KaroIinska Institutet, Stockholm University, Konstfack, Berghs school of communications develping their own researach projects at our KTH AlbaNova laboratory.
